This Stant 180 degree thermostat is required if you desire a lower temperature fan switch like my 185/195 degree fan switch

• Increases Mass Flow Rate of Intake Air
• Allows Engine to Cool Down to Lower Temperature than Factory Thermostat
• Reduces Engine's Tendency to Detonate
• Reduce Temperature of Both the Incoming Air/Fuel Mixture and Combustion Chamber Surface
• For Use In Conjunction With My Low Temp Radiator Fan Switches

I no longer stock the Stant 180 thermostats. But you can find them on eBay and the 180 degree Duralast brand thermostat is available at auto parts stores like Autozone etc.
