My business is for sale:

I have not found anyone to take over my business. So:

We built a home in Denver. A 55+ community. We have had it for two years now. We go there for a week every two months or so. But we are not happy there. The lot size is minuscule and I only have a smallish 3 car garage. So we are selling it and looking for a different home in the Denver area. An existing home. We do not want to go thru a new build again. We both want a larger yard and most important is I want more garage space. All my life I have been a garage person and I like to make things etc. Ideally we will find a home where I can add on to the existing garage or put in an additional garage. So my plan now is to take my business to Denver.   But: I am not making much of anything anymore in my shop here. I am also not restocking many items. You may have noticed some of my parts are out of stock now. That trend will continue. Once in Denver I will probably just sell out my existing stock and as I run out of things discontinue them. Hopefully this all happens in 2024. Once we start moving out of our home here in Wi there will be a few/several months when I will not be able to sell anything.

V-6 Stainless Steel Vacuum Lines

For all Fiero 2.8 liter V6 engines. These are a direct replacement for the various plastic lines under the intake manifold. They are a perfect match for the OEM plastic vacuum lines. They fit into the factory plastic holders and rubber ends. My competitors V-6 metal vacuum lines do not match the OEM GM Fiero vacuum lines.

The original plastic vacuum lines get brittle and can break causing vacuum leaks and poor engine performance.  Broken vacuum lines also will cause a high idle condition.

This 8 piece set includes all the small lines and the large PVC line. You will need to use your original rubber ends.

These 304 stainless steel vacuum lines have a brushed finish. Paintable. They can be painted black to match the factory vacuum lines. They will never rust if the paint is ever chipped. Easy to touch up also!

Jig bent to match the original V-6 lines. Instructions included. New lower price! I found a much lower price supplier for 304 stainless steel tubing and I am now able to pass this along to the customer!

Some slight bending/adjusting may be necessary for a perfect fit. (see note below)

Note: Several years ago when I first started trying to reproduce these vacuum lines I had Ed Parks from the Fiero Factory in Alabama send me a good used set from a 2.8 V-6. I then made an exact duplicate set copying these factory plastic lines in steel. I sent a set back to Ed Parks soon after. He in turn tried to install them on a customer’s engine. They did not fit! The reason they did not fit is because the factory vacuum lines are plastic and very flexible. They can bend to fit because of their flexibility. So I went back to the drawing board. I called up V-8 Archie knowing he usually had a few Fiero 2.8 V-6 engines lying around. I went down to Chicago and picked up a used 2.8 Fiero V-6. I then proceeded to fabricate a set of these vacuum lines that would fit. I spent countless hours bending vacuum lines until I had a perfect set. I then used these vacuum lines as masters creating additional sets. All of my vacuum lines in each set are checked in a master jig and corrected to perfection before shipping. With a little bit of work one can install these vacuum lines and make them fit and look perfect.

Now with an upgrade:

I have some customers that have bought my stainless steel vac lines tell me the small line to the EGR valve is sometimes not quite long enough. Possibly just 88 V-6 owners? I wonder if this is because I used an 85-87 V-6 engine to prototype these vacuum lines. Maybe the 88 EGR is farther away because the 88 uses a different exhaust cross over than the 85-87 V-6.

So my upgrade is an extra short pierce of the small diameter stainless steel vacuum line and a piece of rubber tube. Cut the rubber tube piece to the length you need:

 All the pieces put together:

This upgrade will be included with every vacuum line kit.

Shipping:

Shipping is $12.00-$14.00  (Midwest-USA)

Final shipping cost is determined by weight of the item(s) and distance from Milwaukee, WI. Shipping prices quoted are for items shipped to the Midwest area in the USA. If you are ordering a single item or multiple items the total shipping price is determined after you place the order. I try to keep my shipping prices to a minimum and use Postal Flat Rate boxes whenever I can utilize them for an order.  These do not fit into a postal flat rate box.
