Harmonic Balancer Removal Tool

 

 

Use this tool to remove your harmonic balancer. Removing a harmonic balancer from a 2.8 engine can be very difficult. Using this tool makes it very easy.

 

Use a 1/2" drive deep socket. Most 1/2" drive deep sockets are about 3 1/4" in length.

 

I used a 3/4" impact deep socket. A 7/8" or so standard 1/2" deep socket works well. If your deep sockets are slightly shorther you can put a few flat washers under the socket against the crank to increase the length as needed.
