My business is for sale:

I have not found anyone to take over my business. So:

We built a home in Denver. A 55+ community. We have had it for two years now. We go there for a week every two months or so. But we are not happy there. The lot size is minuscule and I only have a smallish 3 car garage. So we are selling it and looking for a different home in the Denver area. An existing home. We do not want to go thru a new build again. We both want a larger yard and most important is I want more garage space. All my life I have been a garage person and I like to make things etc. Ideally we will find a home where I can add on to the existing garage or put in an additional garage. So my plan now is to take my business to Denver.   But: I am not making much of anything anymore in my shop here. I am also not restocking many items. You may have noticed some of my parts are out of stock now. That trend will continue. Once in Denver I will probably just sell out my existing stock and as I run out of things discontinue them. Hopefully this all happens in 2024. Once we start moving out of our home here in Wi there will be a few/several months when I will not be able to sell anything.

Rear Strut Steel Flat Rings for the 84-87 Pontiac Fiero

Clean up your engine compartment area with these one piece plates, eliminating those three unsightly oval washers.

I had this idea for many years and I finally got around to working on this. Working with my friend on his CNC mill we made a set out of some pressed board material after taking the measurements. We set them on the steel chassis pieces I cut out of a 84-87 Fiero only to find out they do not fit very well. The large center hole is significantly offset from the 3 smaller holes. Why? In my opinion when they made the jig to hold the steel to be welded for the 84-87 chassis they got it in the wrong place. The 3 smaller holes were later drilled by the mill and drill machine. In my opinion this is why the 84-87 Fiero has these oval washers. The three oval washers visually diminishes the appearance of the 3 smaller holes not being symmetrical around the large center hole. If the holes would have all been symmetrical it is possible GM would have used steel rings instead of the three oval washers. To make them look and fit well we made several variations offsetting the holes etc until we had a design to make them appear symmetrical. One ring fits on the left and one ring fits on the right. They are not symmetrical.

NOTE: The offset of the three small holes to the large center hole varies on every other Fiero chassis. So when installed they may still be slightly offset but still  reasonably symmetrical to the large center hole.

Easy to install. With your Fiero on the ground just unbolt vent bracket and then the three nuts. Remove the three oval washers. Install the new rings and reinstall the nuts and the bracket to hold the louver. The new steel ring is approximately the same thickness as the old oval washers so the bracket should not need to be readjusted.
