Also:

I'm also looking to sell some or all of my "in house" manufactured parts that I make in my shop to someone who might be like me and likes making things. This is one of those products. To buy my business is a large endeavor. But if you work a full time job or are retired and want to take on my manufactured parts or some of my manufactured parts let me know.

A nice sideline for an ambitious person.

Introducing my new cure for looseness in the 1988 rear suspension knuckles.

I used to offer a rebuilding service for rear knuckles. This was so labor intensive I decided I did not want to do it anymore. But:  I have been thinking about this for several years. One day recently I have an idea. I think it will work. So here it is.

The problem is the hole for the long bolt is slightly oversize allowing the long bolt to move around slightly possibly changing the alignment. When they make a part like this the hole going thru it has to be large enough that it is easy to assemble. The other problem is the hole is drilled. To make a precision hole it has to be drilled undersize and then reamed to the final size. When you drill a long hole like this in a casting the starting end will be larger from drill wobble and deflection. So one end of the hole will always be a few thousandths larger than the other end.

My solution:

A simple add on girdle to pull the bolt tight against one side of the casting hole.

The set screws push against the casting making the long bolt absolutely rock solid in the casting. No more looseness!

The kit includes parts to fix both rear knuckles:

What are the two 12 mm hex nuts for? When you install these you use the 12 mm hex nuts I supply with the kit to snug up the arms. Slightly tighten the 12 mm hex nuts making sure there is no looseness in the assembly. Then tighten the set screws to lock the long bolt in place. Remove the hex nut and install the factory prevailing torque self locking nut and tighten to factory specs.
