Clutch Release Arm Seal

 

 

 

Fits all Fiero manual transmissions.

This is the seal under the cast steel lever on the shaft for the throw out bearing

GM part number 14092820

 

When you want to remove the shaft you have to distroy this seal to get it out.

 

 

A few notes:

To get the shaft out you drive the bushing into the trans. Once in you can angle the cross shaft to get it out. You use this tool to later drive the busing in to reinstall it.

A very common problem is the cross shaft rusts in the upper bushing area making the shaft tight. Generally all you need to do is remove the shaft and bushing, sand the shaft and put it back together again filling the area under the bushing with grease. Brake caliper grease is the best choice.
