Don't toss out your five speed shifter with a broken select lever shaft. You can now fix that five speed select lever shaft!

 

The five speed shifter assemblies used in the Pontiac Fieros (V-6 5 speed and the 4 cylinder 5 speed) have an inherently weak shaft that the select lever rotates on. It is cut for an o-ring. The diameter of this cut area is smaller and in time the shaft can break off:

 To install this new select lever shaft you have to grind the weld on the bottom of the shifter plate until it is flush with the shifter plate. Punch out the broken select lever shaft. Insert the new replacement shaft and weld it in place.

If you are ordering a single item or multiple items the total shipping price is determined after you place the order. I try to keep my shipping prices to a minimum and use Postal Flat Rate boxes whenever I can utilize them for an order.

 Shipping to areas outside of the USA: Generally I ship postal air first class mail. Shipping varies depending on what country they are going to. It ranges from $11.50 to Canada to $18 or more to Australia etc.
