  • Kit contains 3 precision machined Delrin bushings, side gasket and excellent rebuilding instructions.

  • Each kit will do ONE headlight motor.

  • Fits right the first time! No filing or sanding needed!

The 1990-1992 Buick Toronado Trofeo uses the GM second generation redesigned headlight motor.  They are very durable and very long lasting.  They are also easy to rebuild when they fail!   If your headlights fail to rise and the motor keep spinning this rebuild kit will solve your problem.  If the motor don't run you may have a wiring or controller problem. This is rare.

Headlight motor gaskets are in stock now!!

The side cover gasket are generally very brittle and may fall apart when the cover is removed to replace the drive pins. A new side gasket is included in this kit

What should you order? Typically you should only need to order the kit with the side gasket.      $7.25 in the drop down box below.

NOTE:  You might find you can buy these kits on eBay for less. Years ago that was OK. They were like mine. Turned from Delrin bar stock. Not anymore. They are now injection molded and no where near as strong as turned Delrin.

Typically you do not have to remove the motor part of the headlight assembly, rebuilding these headlight motors only requires you to remove the side cover.  If you are like me and like to take everything apart or want to take the motor housing off to paint you should then also order the motor gasket.

If your headlight motor looks like this my rebuilding kits will work for you.

Note: There are no rivets to drill out when you rebuild these motor assemblies. All parts are held together with screws and bolts, and are easy to disassemble.

Small ball bearing used in these headlight motors note:

At the end of the amrature shaft, under the adjustable end play screw, is a small ball bearing. Be careful if you take the motor apart. It is very easy to loose. When putting the headlight motor back together the best way is to put a small amount of grease on the end of the shaft and put the ball bearing in the grease. That holds it in place and also provides it with some lubrication.

If you loose one I have some on hand. $2.00 each
