My business is for sale:
Also:
I'm also looking to sell some or all of my "in house" manufactured parts that I make in my shop to someone who might be like me and likes making things. This is one of those products. To buy my business is a large endeavor. But if you work a full time job or are retired and want to take on my manufactured parts or some of my manufactured parts let me know.
A nice sideline for an ambitious person.
So my plan now is to eventually take my business (mainly just my existing inventory) to Denver. But: I also am not making parts anymore in my shop here. I am also not restocking many items as they run out. You may have noticed some of my parts are out of stock now. That trend will continue. Once in Denver I will continue to sell out my existing stock I have on hand and as I run out of things they become discontinued.
So my advice is buy it now because it may not be available in the future.

True Cold Air Intake System
This true cold air intake system is installed without making any changes to the appearance of the car, no holes are drilled and can be switched back at any time to the stock air intake tube. Also once installed it can not be seen. Those who want to maintain a stock appearance can install it and it will not affect you if judged at a show. No holes are drilled etc. It just bolts in.
Just an FYI: I only have so many of these on hand yet. I'll never make them again. If you are thinking of buying one do it before they are all gone.
What is this kit?
Behind the side air intake grill is a special tube. Many call it a water separator but I feel the real reason for it is to muffle the sound of the intake vacuum. So by removing this special muffler tube piece and placing a straight tube in its place allows you to hear that cool sound the intake makes. I have heard opinions in the past that there is little if any performance gains with this intake muffler removed so I make no claims of horse power gains. This may not be true though. Herb Adams did some tests with a 2.8 Fiero and what he did was remove the intake tube from the throttle body to the air cleaner thus sucking in hot engine compartment air. He reported that this did not add any horsepower gains. But with my kit you suck in cooler air from outside the vehicle and that in turn may produce a slight horsepower gain. I can probably say with certainty that it will not decrease horse power like the kits on the market today that are in the engine compartment and draw in hot air.
What my kit consists of:
The most important piece is the fiberglass adapter. This adapter can be installed without drilling any holes. It has 2 special clamps that grasp the lip in the inside of the opening just under the air intake grill. To install this kit you will remove the inner wheel well. You will unbolt and remove the stock air tube. The new fiberglass piece then just attaches to the side panel with the two special clips and two screws. You then install the supplied flex air tube and the short piece of tube into the stock air cleaner elbow just below the air cleaner and tighten the 2 hole clamps. Reinstall the grill and the inner wheel well and you are all done. Once installed it is not visible from the outside of the car.
What you gain:
A true free flow cold air intake. Once installed you will hear a very cool sound from the intake on the V-6. L4's may not produce as much of this sound as the sound has farther to go.
Fits all year Fieros. 84-88 L4 and V-6.
Rodney,
Thanks for shipping the cold air kit, I got it in the car. Looks good, sounds neat.

Ultimate Air Intake Base Piece
As you can see the base of the V-6 Fiero intake air cleaner assembly is very restrictive.
To install this Ultimate air intake base piece you will need to remove the base piece from the car. Then remove the old bottom section. It is easy to do with a tin snips. Grind and file all the edges smooth. The new Ultimate air intake base piece will need to be TIG welded in. Just align the top of the new base piece to be flush to the top of the base and TIG weld in place. Repaint and reinstall. Provides a much less restrictive air flow thru the air cleaner housing.
