My business is for sale:
I have not found anyone to take over my business. So:
So my plan now is to eventually take my business (mainly just my existing inventory) to Denver. But: I also am not making parts anymore in my shop here. I am also not restocking many items as they run out. You may have noticed some of my parts are out of stock now. That trend will continue. Once in Denver I will continue to sell out my existing stock I have on hand and as I run out of things they become discontinued.
So my advice is buy it now because it may not be available in the future.

Thank you,

9-10-24: I am still in business and this item is still in stock.
Headlight Gears:
(Hard Anodized Aluminum shown)

Replacement precision CNC machined hard anodized aluminum headlight gear for the 1984-1986 Pontiac Fiero and the 1982-1986 Firebird. Each new CNC machined hard anodized aluminum replacement gear includes 4 Viton rubber bumpers.
These Viton rubber bumpers are a much more durable replacement for the OEM green polyurethane bumpers which had a high failure rate. Includes 8 screws and nuts to reassemble the case. Includes a packet of high temperature grease.
Rebuilding instructions included.
One gear, and 4 bumpers are needed per headlight motor.
To do both headlight motors order two gears.

Special note: 1982-1986 Pontiac Firebirds (some or all) used plastic intermediate gears. If you have this type of headlight motor it was originally from a Pontiac Firebird. The parts do not interchange, the gear is different. No one offers a replacement steel intermediate gear at this time and possibly never will as it would be very difficult to manufacture. If you can find a used metal intermediate gear you can use my aluminum gear in your headlight motor. This will allow you to use the hard aluminum gear I offer in your Firebird headlight motor. Get on the Fiero Forum. www.fiero.com Post in the Mall. Some there may have a good used intermediate gear for sale. You will not know what type of gear is in your headlight motor until you open it up.

Thinking about those plastic aftermarket gears? They are low quality and do not last very long:

Shipping: Shipping (one gear kit) in the USA via First Class Mail is $7.00. Two is $11.50.
Shipping to areas outside of the USA: Generally I ship postal air first class mail. Shipping varies depending on what country they are going to. It ranges from $17 to Canada to $25 or more to Australia etc.
SHIPPING NOTE:
I do not offer free shipping.
Because I use postal flat rate boxes for heavy orders there is no program that can add the proper amount of shipping to every order. So all shipping is added manually by myself after you place your order. That is explained here: Shipping added later explanation
When you place an order the shipping amount will show $0.00. Soon after you place an order you will receive an email confirmation that shows the amount of shipping that was added to your order.
