Repair your leaking Audi exhaust system
If you have an Audi you might find one day that your exhaust is starting to get louder. You may also smell an exhaust smell in your Audi.
Is your muffler going out? In many cases it is not your muffler. It is the coupler band clamps that have rusted away and have even fallen off. The Audi exhuast is stainless steel. The mufflers are stainless steel. The band is stainless steel. But on my wife's 2010 3.2 V-6 A5 the clamps were mild steel. They rusted so much one was missing, two had broken from the rust and were just hanging there and one was very close to failing.I took a pair of plyers and easily broke it to remove it.
You can buy new couplings from Audi. The band clamps will rust away again.
Replace these mild steel clamps with my stainless steel gillotine exhaust clamps that will last the life of your Audi.
What is the hose clamp for? Install it in the middle of the coupling and it tightens up the coupling so you can put the stainless steel exhaust hangers on.
The coupling is not a tube. It is a rolled up piece of flat stainless steel sheet metal that overlaps some.
|Single kit $21.99
||Dual kit $43.99
Some Audis may have four coupling clamps. Check how many you have before ordering. Fits all with 2" exhaust.
