Coolant Tube Repair Kit $14.95

Repair kits for the under car coolant tubes

A somewhat common problem is the under car coolant tubes rust out under the clamps that hold them to the chassis. They rust thru enough and start to drip antifreeze.

There is not enough room to slide a rubber hose over this rusted area and put the clamp back on. There is just enough room to add a thin stainless steel patch like this.

These are 304 stainless steel patches. Remove the coolant tube(s) and have these patches TIG welded over the rusted area(s).

On the 88 Fiero removing the long coolant tube(s) is not too hard to do.

On the 84-87 it is a lot of work to pull the long coolant tubes out because they go up and over the front suspension. My suggestion is to cut the tube(s) just behine the front wheels. I'll add some pictures soon. Remove the rearward section of the coolant tube(s) and have these patches welded in. Use a short section of rubber hose and some hose clamps when you put the coolant tube(s) back in.

I'll work on stocking HD rubber hose pieces and HD hose clamps.

There are 2 lengths. Short for the front (2 1/2" ~ 62 mm) and long for the rear (6 3/4" ~ 171 mm).

These may be used to repair other damaged areas. If you need them for other damaged areas send me some pictures and I may stock some at different lengths.

I do not offer free shipping.

Because I use postal flat rate boxes for heavy orders there is no program that can add the proper amount of shipping to every order. So all shipping is added manually by myself after you place your order. That is explained here: Shipping added later explanation

When you place an order the shipping amount will show $0.00. Soon after you place an order you will receive an email confirmation that shows the amount of shipping that was added to your order.

Shipping is $5.50 USA - First class mail. 4 pieces may have to go in a small flat rate box for $8.00.

Shipping out of the USA is $17 or more depending on what country.

Final shipping cost is determined by weight of the item(s) and distance from Milwaukee, WI. Shipping prices quoted are for items shipped to the Midwest area in the USA. If you are ordering a single item or multiple items the total shipping price is determined after you place the order. I try to keep my shipping prices to a minimum and use Postal Flat Rate boxes whenever I can utilize them for an order.

 Sold individually.
