Finally an 1988 Fiero front wheel bearing hub that is HD and 100% rebuildable!
This is a preproduction sample of my new 1988 Fiero HD rebuldable front wheel bearing.
I originally had a local engineer that had some experience with designing wheel bearing hubs make some preliminary CAD drawings. As this project moved along I contacted Paul Smith and he made some changes to fine tune the design and add some nice features like the thicker flange.
I had the forgings made in China and they are machined, heat treated and assemblied in Taiwan. They come with top quality Japan NSK bearings/races and a double lip rubber seal.

These use common tappered wheel bearings. Both inner (bearing and race) and outer races are replacable and a double lip seal that most auto parts stores will have in stock or can get within a day or so.
I will also stock replacement bearings and seals and all the misc parts used in these hubs.
Those that race or want to race an 88 Fiero now have a HD hub that will last long term and is fully rebuildable.
I have had a few requests to offer these in different bolt hole patterns. I will have some spindles that are not drilled for the studs. The three holes for the attaching bolts will be drilled. You will need to take them to a machine shop and have them drill and ream them to the lug bolt pattern of your choice and the hole size needed for the lug bolts of your choice. I'm having them leave 50 not drilled for lug bolts.

I found a better steel end dust cover. I will be using this cover on these hubs.
UPDATE 1-17-2017: They made the end of the housing where the dust cap goes in a bit too long. They will be about 6 mm shorter and the excess threaded end of the shaft above the castle nut will also be reduced some.
UPDATE 10-19-2017: I machined my preproduction hub sample to match what I talk about above. Here are some updated pictures.
UPDATE 1-1-2018: One other change we made that I forgot to add here is there will be two holes for the cotter pin at 90 degrees apart. This allows for a more precision adjustment of the castle nut.
I found another area of concern. The steel cap was very hard to pry off. So we changed the end of the housing to have a taper. This allows room to get a screwdriver under the cap to remove the cap:
