NEW! A lighter version of a brass headlight motor replacement gear.
Typical C4 brass gear is on the left, My 25% lighter version is the gear in the middle.
Weighs almost 25% less than the brass gears in the market place today.
Why do I offer a lighter version of the Corvette C4 brass headlight gear? Many years ago I used to sell C4 headlight gears in brass. They were terribly heavy. So I switched to the hard anodized aluminum. But some still prefer the brass gears. So I modified my original design to make them almost 25% lighter. Enjoy the quality of brass but not all the weight.
Kit contains One Brass gear, 3 precision machined Delrin bushings, side gasket and excellent rebuilding instructions.
These gear kits include the side gasket(s) plus a packet of high quality synthetic brake caliper slider grease. Why brake caliper slider grease? Because brake caliper grease is a high temperature grease and slow to evaporate and dry out. If you would also like the motor gaskets select both side and motor gaskets in the drop down boxes below. Generally I would suggest that you not take the motors off the housing unless you want to go thru the motors or paint the parts etc. You do not need to take the motors off to rebuild these.
Small ball bearing used in these headlight motors note:
At the end of the amrature shaft, under the adjustable end play screw, is a small ball bearing. Be careful if you take the motor apart. It is very easy to loose. When putting the headlight motor back together the best way is to put a small amount of grease on the end of the shaft and put the ball bearing in the grease. That holds it in place and also provides it with some lubrication.
If you loose one I have some on hand.
Shipping: Shipping in the USA is $9.00
Shipping to areas outside of the USA: Generally I ship postal air first class mail. Shipping varies depending on what country they are going to. It ranges from $18.25 to Canada to $24 or more to Australia etc.
I do not offer free shipping.
Because I use postal flat rate boxes for heavy orders there is no program that can add the proper amount of shipping to every order. So all shipping is added manually by myself after you place your order. That is explained here: Shipping added later explanation
When you place an order the shipping amount will show $0.00. Soon after you place an order you will receive an email confirmation that shows the amount of shipping that was added to your order.
