Fix your automatic shift cable!
This kit repairs the shifting cable end on the transmission shifting arm on the Fiero automatic transmission. The common problem is the plastic end of the cable does not want to stay on the steel ball stud on the transmission shifting lever. The steel ball rusts over time which in turn wears away the inner surface of the snap on area of the plastic end of the shifting cable and the cable plastic cable end pops off the ball stud.

This is the kit:

Remove the shifting arm from the transmission. Drill out and remove the rusted steel stud:

Bolt in the new stainless steel stud. Install the arm on the trans and put the stainless steel washer and nut on to hold the cable from coming off. The shifting cable will never again pop off the shifting arm!
