Update 3-25-19: A local Fiero owner stopped here and we installed a kit. Took many pictures etc. I'll be making an installation page, paper instructions and I'll be updating this page soon. At that time they will be available to purchase.
Will look more like OEM.
Upgrade your 84-86 headlight motor lift system
You can no longer find new isolation relays. So I have developed a kit to replace the relays and the isolation relay.
Some history of the 84-86 headlights:
Most that have headlight motor problems in their 84-86 Fiero want to blame the headlight motors. They replace them with rebuilt headlight motors but many times still experience the same problems. Some replace the relays but again still have the same problems. Why? The problem in most all cases is a diminished path for the voltage and amperage from the battery reaching the armature of the headlight motors. The armature is spring loaded and if it does not spin with enough strength and momentum it will not operate the contacts in the headlight motors correctly.
The path for the voltage from the battery and back (all the grounds) is a long one. As on any older vehicle, time takes it's toll on the wiring connections, grounds etc. There is never any one place to look. It starts at the battery terminal and little by little the voltage and amperage diminishes along the way. Slightly corroded connections in all the various connectors. Corroded grounds. Every marginal connection diminishes the voltage and amperage to the headlight motor armatures. By the time the voltage gets to the armatures in the headlight motors it can be seriously diminished.
How can the voltage make it to the headlight motors when they have to pass thru connections like this!!
I have seen some Fiero owners take and clean up the OEM connectors hoping to get better connections in the relays. To a point this works but when we were installing these kits in peoples Fieros we found many wires had corrosion between the brass connectors in the plugs and the copper wires. We had to sand many wires to get fresh copper. When you install my kit you will probably see this in some/many of the wires. Installing my kit eliminates all of these marginal connections.
My kit eliminates most of these marginal connections. I include butt splices with open centers so you can solder them and adhesive lined shrink tube to make solid water tight connections. You splice on the new connectors to each headlight motor, again using butt splices you solder and adhesive lined shrink tube. Once installed the largest part of the headlight control system is now all new and waterproof.

- Wire stripper/crimper

- Soldering iron (40 watt is preferred)
