Replacement brushes for the 84-86 headlight motors
(Also fits 82-86 Pontiac Firebird)
These are to replace the brushes on the 84-86 headlight motor brush/contact assemblies. Use electrically conductive glue and glue them on the arms of the brush/contact assembly.
These are about 100% larger so there is more surface for the glue to adhere to. Their size is 0.185" x 0.330" or 4.8 mm x 8.4 mm.
There is a guy on eBay that sells the electrical glue. This is his eBay name:
Also you can search for his products on ebay. Use this phrase:
CONDUCTIVE ELECTRIC SOLDERING GLUE
I now have in stock some adhesive.
Someone posted they tried it and liked it. The instructions tell you to burst the center seal mix the whole bag. Possibly you can cut the corners and squeeze out some of each of the material. I say that because if you want to do all four brushes at once you have to lay the contacts down and the brushes may not stay in place. It looks to be a one to one mix ratio. Mix up some and do two brushes. Then do the other two later so the brush lays on the arm and will not fall/slide off.
Read about it here:
$9.98 for a set of 4 brushes. This is enough to do both headlight motors. Each motor uses 2 brushes.
$14.50 per glue packet.

Shipping: Shipping in the USA via First Class Mail is a flat rate of $2.00 for the brushes. $4.50 for the glue.
Shipping to areas outside of the USA: Generally I ship postal air first class mail. Shipping varies depending on what country they are going to. It ranges from $5 to Canada to $10 or more to Australia etc.
I do not offer free shipping.
Because I use postal flat rate boxes for heavy orders there is no program that can add the proper amount of shipping to every order. So all shipping is added manually by myself after you place your order. That is explained here: Shipping added later explanation
When you place an order the shipping amount will show $0.00. Soon after you place an order you will receive an email confirmation that shows the amount of shipping that was added to your order.
